Attendee and Vendor Registration for Pantheon of Leather XX is now open with attendee packages starting at $45 and VIP Packages as low as $99. Pantheon of Leather will be held at the Hilton LAX at 5711 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045 the weekend of August 12-15.

Vendors will be able to choose the locations of their booth(s) in the order in which they are reserved, although returning vendors will have priority. Reserve your space early to insure that you get the booth location you like.

Magnus Reisinger, Mr Fetish Biker 2009, from Berlin Germany came to Leatherati with this opinion piece about the popular Folsom Europe fetish street fair.

“More than 25,000 visitors from all over the world enjoyed the sixth edition of our event”, so tell us the webiste of Folsom Europe e.V.. In my experience during the voluntary engagement as “Mr Fetish Biker 2009”, 90% of the visitors gave at least the “demanded” donation of 2 Euros or even more for beneficiaries of Folsom Europe. This was the fact, because there were only two to three meters of space for the entrance. The other street was closed by several gates. So everyone could be asked personally.

If you think the above figures may result in more than 40.000 Euros in 2009 you are wrong. According to the website of Folsom Europe e.V. it is about 10.000 Euros. This money should be assigned to the five listed Berlin beneficiaries: Kindergarden Fuggerstasse, OSPI, Mann-O-Meter, Café Posithiv and Berlin positiv e.V.

According to an old proverb, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Of course, the proverbial Jack doesn’t typically meet a man who really likes to play like an International LeatherSIR. 

As part of their title year, the International LeatherSIRs hold fundraisers for charities of their choice and their travel fund. However, the current International LeatherSIR 2009, Sir Tony Palazzo from Toronto, Ontario, Canada wanted to reflect the player culture behind the LeatherSIR in his fundraisers. As Sir Tony reasoned, “we have a lot of organizations doing a lot of hard work fundraising here in the city [of Toronto]. I didn't want to ‘overburden’ people at the bar with yet another night of people they don't know asking for donations.”

15 Association - Associates Weekend

There is no Association without Associates

It's that time of year again when, fresh from their Anniversary, The 15 Association celebrates their brotherhood by celebrating their Associate members -- all 124 of them!  The 15 Association exists for them and because of them.  Associates are the descendants of a long tradition of leathermen and serious players who loved and beat and nurtured each other, in play, in earnest, to death's door when that's what was required.  Their numbers rise and fall, yet their strength was never in numbers but in the bond they forged.  

The Associates Weekend is the time to remind the Associates that they are what it's all about, they are the rock stars:  there is no Association without our Associates.  

FRIDAY the 23rd everyone will get together at the Eagle for a laid-back social evening, from around 8:00 pm onward.  Bring cigars and a boy or your leash and whoever holds the other end of it, ready to see old friends, make new ones, and help kick the weekend off nice and easy.  Non-members, friends, supporters of any gender welcome.  

SATURDAY the 24th will be the usual monthly men's party, at the SF Citadel (1277 Mission at 9th, in case you forgot), with possibly a few extra warm bodies turning out for Associates Weekend.  As usual the door opens at 8:00 pm, closes at 11:00.

SUNDAY the 25th will be the special MEMBERS ONLY party, also at the Citadel, starting at 2:00 pm; the door will close at 5:00 pm.  ALL ASSOCIATE MEMBERS (and personal guest) will be ADMITTED FREE.  No volunteer crew needed, the Fraternal Committee will cover the staffing.  The Fraternas of the Association are hoping the membership will turn out in force, for food, fun and the first new-member Initiation in a long time.

40 Years of fabulousness in LA LA Land

The first-ever Los Angeles LGBT Pride Parade was held on June 28, 1970 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the drag-queen-led rebellion at the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street in New York City. The Stonewall incident is considered the beginning of the modern-day LGBT equal rights movement and is celebrated each year by festivals and parades across the country. 

The event is presented each year by Christopher Street West in the über gay city of West Hollywood.  This year's festivities are expected to draw over 400,000 revelers for the weekend celebration June 11 to June 13, 2010.

Two highlights for the Leather Community are the Erotic City BDSM area and the Mr Christopher Street West Leather Community.  The current Mr CSW Leather, Louie Pacheco, finished 1st runner up at Mr Los Angeles Leather competition for 2010 and is headed to compete for American Leatherman 2010 at American Brotherhood Weekend in Chicago in July 2010.

Super Hot Stuff

The kinksters in Atanta just enjoyed an entire weekend of Atlanta Leather Pride and judging from the reports we've gotten back (and more than a few bruises and satisfied smiles) the weekend was a roaring success.  

Congrats to everyone involved but especially to Daddy Alan Penrod the outgoing Mr Atlanta Eagle, and Pup Nitro for throwing such a big ole kinky event.  Things are happening in Atlanta!

And we'd like to introduce the new Mr Atlanta Eagle for 2010 Chandler Bearden.  Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more of super-hottie Chandler!

Leather Leadership XIV A Success In Detroit

Good stuff in Detroit for the Fourteenth LLC!

The fourteenth annual Leather Leadership Conference was hosted over the April 9 to 11th weekend in Detroit, MI with nearly 200 people welcomed at the Metropolitan Hotel.  Attendees were present from across the United States and Canada for the Journey Continues, attending an incredible array of workshops to learn everything from Building Communities to Feed Your Soul to Feeding the Masses, with everything else imaginable in between.  There was a class and a workshop for everyone!
 
The conference started on Friday evening with a passionate speech by Judge Rudy Serra.  Rudy spoke out about sexual rights and individual rights being human rights and civil rights, and reminded the audience that not all people are able to experience these same civil rights.  He called out for people to know themselves and their communities - so that they can outreach and teach and promote understanding, and strive for a community and a future where people everywhere can experience the same fundamental equality and rights.
