Rise up And Shout

Get ready for the third Rise Up And Shout! event on May 14, 2011  

Rise Up And Shout! empowers gay and lesbian youth.  Bridging the generation gap between the gay elders leading the community and the gay youth struggling through the coming out process, Rise Up And Shout! brings the two groups together in a year-long mentoring relationship.  Through this process, the youth find, develop and finally showcase their unique voices in a performance event.

Auditions are here and it's time to help recruit performers.

All auditions will be held at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, 90046.

LeatherUNITED

LeatherUNITED will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 9 AM to 1 AM at the Kinkdom, 3650 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI, next to Hygrade Restaurant & Deli. 

The Detroit Leather Community has had its share of setbacks and struggles over the past several years—many of the bars that supported us have closed; our leather clubs are facing dwindling memberships; less and less of our Community members are going out anymore. To many inside and outside our Community, it appears that Detroit has no Leather Community anymore. We know this is not the reality of the situation and it is time we came together to prove it—to show everyone that the Detroit Leather Community is still alive and strong. 

In that spirit, an event has been organized, asking our Community to come together and show its strength and solidarity. This event is LeatherUNITED. 

LeatherUNITED is not a fundraiser. Leather UNITED is not a bar night. LeatherUNITED is an invitation to all of the Detroit Leather Community to come together and support that which we love. 

LeatherUNITED will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Kinkdom, 3650 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI, next to Hygrade Restaurant & Deli. The Kinkdom is Detroit's newest meeting spot and play space for our Community. It is a neutral location where like-minded individuals can come together to relax, reconnect, and remember what makes our Community great.

This event was created by Bryon Hayes, Mr. Leather Michigan 2010 and is being co-hosted with Dave German, Mr. Michigan Leather 2011. The two current state titleholders are uniting to bring you one event—LeatherUNITED.

We hope to see you at the Kinkdom on Saturday, April 2, 2011 for LeatherUNITED.

Keynote Speakers Announced for LLC-XV

The Los Angeles Local Organizing Commitee is excited to announce the confirmation of all three keynote speakers for the April Conference. 

The Conference will open Friday evening with Guy Baldwin helping start the weekend off with a bang.  This is a must see evening - with incredible entertainment planned and a highly anticipated speech from Guy Baldwin. 

After a morning of intense workshops, Annie Romano will be speaking over Saturday's lunch time, getting you all revved up for the afternoon of more incredible learning opportunities!

Sunday morning will start a little later to let you recover from your Saturday evening festivities - followed by the third keynote speaker, the current International Mr. Leather, Tyler McCormick.  As a special treat this year, workshops will continue until late in the afternoon - giving those who want to stay Sunday - a full day of amazing information to learn.

Mr Twin Cities Leather 2011

Year 2 and better than ever!

This is the second year of the Mr. TCL competition and Cockpit Minneapolis is working to make it a leather destination weekend.  The 2011 Leather Weekend and Mr. TCL competition will encompass events in both Minneapolis and St. Paul.   

Friday, February 18
Brains and Bodies - the competition at The Saloon, Minneapolis 8pm to 10pm
This is the= opening event for Mr Twin Cities Leather 2011 with live performances, dance numbers, question and answer program 

Saturday, Febraury 19
Judges Interviews at the Saloon 1pm to 5pm
This is your chance to see meet the contestants before and after their interviews.  Check out all of the interviews in the video bar of the Saloon.

Then later that night make your way to Camp Bar in St. Paul for "Jail Break" the biggest party of Leather Weekend from 10 PM to 2 AM.  Cover is $5 and the Beer Bust is $10

Sunday, February 20
It's time for the Finale from 8 PM to 10 PM where the new Mr. Twin Cities Leather will be sashed  by our Judges:  David Anderson, Andrew Bertke, Derek Harley, Dr Stan Hill, Steve Lenius and Richard Yates.  Then stick around for the closing sash dance until 2 AM.

The new Mr Twin Cities Leather will compete at International Mister Leather in May.

Applications for Mr. Twin Cities Leather 2011 can be picked up at Cockpit Minneapolis, 2321 Hennepin Avenue South in Minneapolis, MN or at The Saloon, 830 Hennepin Avenue in Downtown Minneapolis.

Esprit de Corps 2011

Registration is now open for Esprit de Corps 2011, Discipline Corps’s annual three-day weekend of leather brotherhood, PLAY and Camaraderie.  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to spend the weekend of March 11-13, 2011 in playing hard with hot, horny leathermen.
