Protocols: Getting What You Want, When You Want It, How You Want It

Just as any business has its standard operating procedures; D/s has its own set of “Policies & Procedures” in the form of Protocols.

Whether you use (or intend to use) protocol for your service needs, as part of your slave’s training, his or her behavior modification, or simply because it’s hot, this presentation will cover different types of protocols and different uses of protocol. 

Learn more about achieving the results you wish to see in your slave or submissive through the use of protocol in your dynamic. The presentation will address the development and maintenance of protocols in both live-in, live separately, or long distance dynamics.

This seminar is presented by Master Jeff who has practiced SM for 30+ years – first privately, as a youngster tying up and whipping the willing girl next door, throughout his adult life and now, publicly for the last 16 years. He is a member of The Monarchs, a Brotherhood Dominant men in pursuit of Mastery in the Art of BDSM-D/s, and he belongs to Los Angeles’ Lair De Sade, Club X San Diego, and is a founding member of Chains, Melbourne, Australia. He is also a jacketed member of Cirque de Sade, a Los Angeles based group that practices the dark arts of SM and D/s, gives performances, and educates in proper SM skills. Jeff is the former Director and co-founder of MAsT-GLA (Greater Los Angeles Pansexual Chapter of Masters And slaves Together).

The event takes place at The Deja Vu Love Boutique, 2130 Industrial Court, Vista, CA 92081.  The Workshops will take place upstairs on the Balcony on the first (1st) Tuesday of every month from 7 PM to 9 PM.  There will be a small $3.00 donation to help cover snacks, soda, water and some presenter costs. The Buck Angel Effect

On Saturday January 28, 2012, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, the Stockroom University presents The Buck Angel Effect Empowerment by Buck Angel  Buck Angel shares his moving personal life story and the process of his gender transition from female to male, while challenging the audience’s notion of what makes someone a man or a woman. He describes how he changed from a desperately unhappy and uncomfortable individual, to a person who is proud of his body and sexually comfortable with his genitals (which have not been surgically altered). Buck has lead the way for transmen to have self-acceptance without surgery. In fact, his message of self-acceptance goes beyond gender and genitals: it is a universal concept of knowing, becoming, and loving yourself. 

The cost for the event is $20 and takes place at Stockroom University, located next to the Stockroom/Syren retail store at 2809½ W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA 90026

About the Facilitator: As an icon of popular culture, Buck Angel's message of empowerment through self-acceptance and being sexually comfortable in your own skin has struck a passionate chord with folks all over the world. As he demonstrated in his appearances at YALE University and IdeaCity 2010, Buck is not only inspiring people to think outside the box, he is re-defining gender and educating an entire generation on the fluidity of sexuality and identity politics. Since Buck coined the phrase " it's not what's between your legs that defines you!", the term has become an anthem for men and women everywhere who have been inspired by this message of self acceptance.

Leathermen's Academy 2011 Recap

From September 29 to October 2, 2011, the Fort Lauderdale Leather community was the host of Leathermen’s Academy, held at the Sheraton Inn Lauderdale Airport.

Leathermen’s Academy is primarily an educational event in all-male space with particular emphasis on granting its attendees the opportunity to have a more hands-on experience of many BDSM activities from both the active and passive perspective. According to the event’s organizers, the objective is to leave attendees “empowered with more self-expression and freedom in their Leatherplay.”

To that effect, this year’s curriculum offered a wide range of avenues to explore from rough body play to mummification, from fire play to hypnosis. In addition, there were a few non-BDSM activity-specific courses on hand related to dungeon etiquette, history, and connectivity during play. In all, about a dozen educators from Canada and the USA gave of their time to make this a very worthwhile event for the approximately 55 attendees, hailing from at least 3 different countries, who came to quench their thirst for knowledge.
