A who's who in the SF Leather club world!
The Mr SF Leather contest weekend kicked off on Friday night at the Hotel Whitcomb with the SF Bay Area Leather Alliance dinner and awards presentation. The SF Bay Area Alliance is the org that resulted from the joining of the prior Inter Club Fund and the Leather Forum. The Alliance is comprised of 12 leather, motorcycle and fetish clubs from the Bay Area. The inclusion of the awards banquet in to the Mr SF Leather weekend was a brilliant move and gives the weekend a helluva kickoff. And this year that also included contestant fantasies to wow the crowd!
Emcees for the soirée were SF Empress 30 Donna Sachet and IML 1992 Lenny Broberg who gave us a fashionably late "Court Time" start and kept the witty patter going through the various awards and stage changes for the fantasies.
3 contestants are vying for the privilege to represent the SF Leather community at home and at IML in May 2010. After drawing the numbers, the lineup looked like this: #1 Lance Holman representing the Powerhouse bar, #2 Stefanos Maximilian Tiziano representing the Citadel, and #3 an independent Robbie Leonard.
The auspicious panel of judges for the event include: Brandon Clark, Mr SF Leather 2009; Jeffrey Payne, IML 2009; dirk burns, SF Leather Daddy's boy XXIV; Daddy Sal Hopkins; and IML 1994 Jeff Tucker.
We'll have more details on the awards and their recipients but we did want to highlight a couple of individuals who so clearly demonstrate the dedication and leather heart that makes the SF Bay Area community so dynamic.
There are two awards presented each year which are named for individuals who had a major impact; the Frank Benoit Award, and the Philip M. Turner Lifetime Achievement Award. Receiving the Frank Benoit Award for 2009 was Alliance Independent Director Seth Munter and the Philip M. Turner Award went to Mistress Nina of Sacramento. Nina is the first woman to win the award.
The other highlight of the evening, namely the fantasies, were spaced out around the awards and definitely added some flair and sex to the event. Contestant #1 Lance presented a home robbery with the tables turned on the would-be robber and, well, let's just say that mayhem ensued.
Contestant #2 Stefano gave the audience an awesome scene with two subs sporting gas masks. The action got definitely physical with multiple take downs and a few surprise details that brought roars from the crowd.
The final contestant fantasy from Robbie was a clever departure and looked more like a monologue where Robbie presented a huge bag of his favorite toys and fantasized about he looks forward to one day sharing all that the bag offers with a special someone. Very much from the heart and very hot.
The evening wound down and those assembled were sent off to explore all that SF has to offer with the promise that the Saturday night contest would continue the action.
